“Capture Local Passions and Get 40$”

Introduction

My Local Passion, Myanmar’s travel & local product story & business platform is organizing a photo competition with a prize of 40$. We are looking for participants who can capture the best local passions from women, youths or ethnic communities living in Myanmar.

My Local Passion is a female-led social enterprise business that is promoting and supporting Myanmar’s culture, ethnic traditions, tourism destinations, people, and small local businesses, with a focus on youth, ethnics and women. 

What kind of photos are we looking for ?  

• We are looking for photos of youth, women and ethnic communities that show passion for something they love to do but also shows something about Myanmar culture, nature or benefiting, youths, ethnic communities and women. (People and lifestyle of Myanmar locals (Youth and women show their passions, the unique cultures of ethnic communities)

What you can win and other benefits

1. There are 2 prizes:

1. The best photo judged by a jury
2. The most popular photo : which photo will get the most like and comments on our social media

1. Winner will be awarded with a $40 cash prize
2. Publication of photos from all the applicants on MLP website/social media
3. With reference to your social media account if you want
4. “Certificate of Publication” will be issued to all the applicants". 

Image Requirements:

1. No Watermarks, Frames, time marks.
2. Photos should be send in high resolution and have minimum of 800 pixels in width
3. A Title with not more than 7 words in English.
4. A Caption with not more than 15 words in English.
5. An explanation / description of the photo is not more than 100 words in English.
6. Entrants must hold all applicable rights to the final image as well as having the permission of any person included in the photo.

How to participate

• The competition is open to all interested participants.
• You can share your photo on your timeline in FB / IG with Public with public setting by tagging us @mylocalpassion.  
• You can also submit your photos via google form, email or social media chat boxes ( Fb & IG) 

Procedures Competition

• The photos with the most points of the jury will be selected as winner for best judged photo.
• The contest starts on 10th July, 2022 and ends on 30th September, 2022. After the deadline, no more photos will be accepted.
• The photo registration will be accepted by google form, email or MLP official facebook page and the participants will be submitted the competing photo/s by google form, email and social media chat boxes. 
• After submitting, MyLocalPassion will upload the competing photos to social media channels and the participants can share or introduce the photos on their own timelines for getting the most popular award. 
• Only on topic photos will be published, in addition, the organizers shall not tolerate participation with content that offends public morality, politics, abusive conduct, racial epithets or any other type of improper behavior at their discretion.
• Winners will be informed by email or social media channels, where they’ll be asked to send the chosen photo/s as well as banking information to transfer the promised amount of $40. 
• Winners must respond within one week of the above notification.
• If the winners do not respond to the communication, they lose their essential right, at which time the organizing company is relieved of any duty and may go ahead with the first alternative.
• Finally, the winners will be announced at MyLocalPassion official social media channel. 
• My Local Passion will not discuss the outcomes of the competitions and or the acceptance of a photo to participate in the competition.

Terms & Conditions

• Only original, unpublished, unsold photos illustrating the main category will be accepted & awarded.
• The photographer allows My Local Passion to use the photo in all of its online or offline publications, once the photographer submits the photo/s.
• The participants will be an interested outsider who is not part of My Local Passion. 
• My Local Passion has the right to edit the submitted photo before publishing it.
• My Local Passion will publish the photo by mentioning the photographer’s art name.
• My Local Passion has the right to not publish / accept any entry without clarification.
• All entries are final once they are submitted. No revisions are accepted.
• The decisions of the judges are entirely their own, and are final.
• Participants are allowed to enter a maximum of 5 photos. If the participants submitted more than 5 photos, the first 5 entries will be counted.  
• Winners will be announced on the Official Facebook Page in October. More updates will be uploaded in our official social media channels. 

Your rights

You have the right to inspect a copy of the data we have on you and to request changes or deletions of information that is no longer necessary. You can ask My Local Passion to cease using your images at any time, in which case they will not be used in future publications but may still appear in previously published volumes.

Deadline and Assessment 

• The deadline for submission of photos is 30th September, 5:00 PM Myanmar Time. 
• The winner for most popular one will be determined by likes, comments, shares, or website traffic. 
• Best photo of this contest will be determined by authorized persons from MyLocalPassion.
