The costumes are mostly tailored in Taunggyi and also got from neighboring cities of the Taunggyi. Since price differs the product quality, the costumes can be weaved with silk, cotton, nylon or combined. Local community, local family businesses and local women produce the cloth and tailored the costume. It is one of the ethnic costumes that is popular and also worn at local festivals or traditional celebrations. Mostly it takes about a week to get the costume. It is used as the local clothing or costumes and the cloth can aslo made many accessories like bags, shoes, handbag, coat and so on. All gendar at all age and children.
